Still, preparing papers takes time to gather recommendation letters, etc. and USCIS is very slow so start as early as possible.

At the time of filing, I had 114 citations and had done 8 peer reviews for articles.Even though, I wasnt highly confident about my application in the beginning, as I started working the Chen Law Group, I was more or less sure that I would get the approval but most likely with an RFE. To my great surprise, my I140 petition was approved within just ten days of filing under premium processing WITHOUT an RFE! Specifically, I would like to emphasize that the petition letter drafted by the lawyer was extremely strong and convincing.
