With a relatively low citation count (~145) and only 5 middle-author publications, I had doubts about whether my profile was good enough to qualify for I-140 approval, especially EB1A. I have two MS degrees in biotech and biological sciences and my core field of research are stem cells and gene therapy. I have been fortunate to be involved with developing a stem cell-based gene therapy against a genetic disease called Cystinosis. In addition, my projects have also included developing gene therapies against several other lysosomal storage diseases, neurological as well as cardiac diseases.
